The Dads Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign recently announced the recipients of the 2023 Dads Association Scholarship. After reviewing many quality applicants, six students were chosen to receive scholarships of $2,000 each.

The six recipients are:

• Margie Sanchez – Senior, majoring in Political Science
• Camara Thomas – Junior, majoring in Agricultural and Consumer Economics
• Shailey Park – Senior, majoring in HDFS
• Haihley Connors – Senior, majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences
• Kevin Sanderson – Freshman, majoring in Physics
• Aynur Namik – Senior, majoring in Integrative Biology Honors

The Dads Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was established in 1922 and is one of the nation’s oldest parent organizations. Scholarships from the Dads Association are given out annually in addition to grants that are given to campus programs and initiatives. The Illini Dads Association is a proud partner of the Illinois Union Parents and Family Programs Office in pursuit of serving as a parent liaison to the campus. We are focused on supporting programs, service, and activities that promote the health, safety, and well-being of the university community.
